SFX, New levels and Preparation for Multiplayer
Today I've released a medium-sized update in preparation for the big multiplayer update. It includes some bug fixes with audio, added sfx and new levels, as well as the start of the 'join server' menu.
The multiplayer update should be released in the next two weeks and it will allow players to play in the same game on different machines (only on the same LAN though).
The join server page has basic IP sanity checking and attempts to connect to a server (but none exist, so it will report to the player that it couldn't find any servers).
A new gameplay feature has also been added, allowing players who are currently 'overloaded' to collide with the side of another player, and instead of dying, they will kill the other player (unless that player is also overloading).
Sfx have been added (I used jfxr to generate them), adding to the gameplay immersion. Let me know if you like them, or have any suggestions for better sfx.
A more thorough devlog will be released along with the multiplayer update.
